Q Are Janome Desktop Robots CE declared?

A Yes, the JR4000 Series and JR3000 Series are compatible.
The JR3000T (Twin Table Robot) is not compatible.

Q Where are Janome Desktop Robots manufactured?

AManufactured at our main plant in Tokyo.

Q How should I select a robot?

APlease select based on the stroke length and whether the R axis is required.

Q Can I change the open height?

AYes, it is possible. Please inquire us from Contact Form.

Q Do you have a robot which can handle work payloads heavier than 15 kg and tool payloads heavier than 7kg?

A Yes, it is possible. The JR3000 has a Heavy Duty Robot. It can handle tools up to 15 kg and workpieces up to 20 kg.

Q Do I need an area sensor to use a desktop robot?

APlease follow the rules and laws of the country or region where you wll use it, do a risk assessment, and get it ready if you think it is needed.

Q What kinds of PCBs can the depaneling robot handle?

A The material is glass epoxy or paper phenolic, and the maximum thickness is 1.6 mm. Please contact us for PCBs made of other materials or with other thicknesses. Click here for the product page.

Q What is the cutting path accuracy of the depaneling robot?

AIt is 0.2mm. Click here for the product page.

Q Which languages are supported?

AThe following languages are available for the teaching pendant:
Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Vietnamese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Czech

About Functions

Q Can I dispense while rotating the workpiece?

AYes, it is possible. The I/O-MT function allows control of up to two external motors. Please contact us for details. Click here to see a video example.

Q What are PTP movement and CP movement?

APTP stands for “Point To Point.” It ascends vertically from the point, then moves in the XY direction, and descends vertically to the next point.
CP stands for “Continuous Path.” It moves from one point to the next in a straight line or arc.

Q I want to lower my cycle time by shortening the Z-Axis ascent distance at each point. Is there an easy way to do this?

AThe Z ascent distance can be shortened by changing the Z moving height of the PTP Condition.
You can check the actual setup procedure in this video (approx. 1 minute).

Q I want to work on a lot of identical workpieces on a pallet, but teaching each job one by one is time consuming. Is there an easier way to do this?

AThis can be easily achieved using the pallet function.
By teaching a single workpiece, specifying the working area with the pallet function, and dividing it into rows and columns, it is possible to perform jobs on workpieces arranged at equal intervals.

Q I want to install sensors on the robot to inspect my process. How can I do this?

AThis can be done using the point job function.

Q Can the robot make position offset adjustments and do jobs on misplaced workpieces?

A This is possible by using cameras and height sensors.

Q Can I teach programs from CAD data?

AYes, it is possible. The Graphic Editing Function of the PC software allows you to import CAD data, enabling visual teaching.

Q Do desktop robots need regular maintenance such as lubrication, etc?

AYes, we recommend it. As a general guideline, we recommend greasing once every six months.
We also offer regular inspections by our technical staff, so please contact the seller or please inquire us from Contact Form.

Q What kinds of maintenance do desktop robots need?

AMainly, greasing is required once every six months.

I am not sure which product to choose. How should I choose?

We can propose the most suitable products and models for servo presses and robots according to the process, application (pressing, caulking, screw tightening, etc.), workpiece size and weight, and cycle time.

Can I test my application on your machine? Can I borrow a machine for testing?

Yes, you can. We have demo machines available for loan, please contact us for more details.
We can also test your application on our machines if you send us sample workpieces for testing.

Can I get a catalog, drawings, and 3D data (external dimension diagrams) for your products?

You can download catalogs, drawings and 3D data from our Download page. (User registration is required.)

Where can I get customer support outside of Japan?
