Q How long is the warranty period?

Q Are Janome Servo Presses CE declared?

The JP Series 5(Unit Type, Stand-Alone Type (Two Hand Switch Model)), and JP-S2 Series are CE declared.
The JP Series 5 (Stand-Alone Type (Flexible Model)) and JP5S Series are not CE declared.
Q Where are Janome servo presses manufactured?
AWe manufacture our servo presses at our company headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
Q How should I select a press machine?
AWe recommend selecting a press according to the pressing capacity and ram stroke which meets your production needs.

Q How much can I reduce power consumption compared to a hydraulic press?
AJanome servo presses use only 1/4 to 1/5 of the electricity needed to power a hydraulic press.
Q What is the difference between the JP5 and the JP-S2?
AThe JP Sereis 5 features a very rigid construction and high precision, while the space-saving JP-S2 Series is a slim and compact model.
Q What is the difference between the standard controller and the compact controller for the JP5?
ASafety circuits are built into standard controllers.
Compact controllers do not have built-in safety circuits. When using these controllers, please construct your own external safety circuit. See the JP5 product page here.
Q Are Janome Servo Presses usable in clean rooms?
AYes, the JP Series 5 includes a Clean Level ISO 4 (Class 10) compatible Clean Room Model.
Q Which languages are supported?
AThe following languages are available:
JP Series 5, JP5S Series teaching pendant or operation panel: English, Japanese, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Korean, Vietnamese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Romanian, Czech, and Hungarian
JP-S2 Series pendant unit: English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified)
Q How much uneven load can a Janome servo press withstand?
AThis product is designed based on the assumption that load will be applied to the center of the ram. Please refrain from using this product under conditions where uneven loads are applied.
Q Using the load stop mode causes the ram to overshoot. Is there a way to prevent ram overshoot?
AYou can set a parameter called Deceleration Load Ratio/Stop Reference Position in your pressing operation to reduce the ram speed before reaching the target load and prevent ram overshoot.
Q Is it OK to operate the press with a load outside the warranteed load range?
ANo, we cannot guarantee load accuracy outside the warranty range.
Please use a model that meets your required load range.
Q Do I need to make some warm-up runs before using the press?
AYes, we recommend making a few warmup runs before use to ensure that the temperature of the press remains stable.

Q What kind of maintenance do Janome Servo Presses need?
AWe recommend lubricating the press once every six months and calibrating the load once a year.
Q What replacement parts will I need?
AA small number of consumable parts need periodical replacement.

Q Is regular maintenance such as lubrication necessary?
AYes, we recommend regular maintenance.
